Class of 1972 50th Birthday Bash

Currently, we are working on a "50th" Birthday Party (informal) for the "Class of 1972" (hard to believe but true) to be held on July 10th, 2004 at the Pancake Pavilion in Washington, PA. Our goal is to keep the cost of this event as low as possible, with the possibility of no cost to the classmates or their guest. If a cost is involved we would like it to be a minimal one.

In order for us to do this we are asking your participation in selling tickets to raise money to help offset costs. The reunion committee did this last year and it helped defer costs towards the tickets for the reunion. If you can help us in the selling of these tickets please get in touch with Patti Martin Lucas @ (724-222-4839) (plucas@mlynk.com) and she will get them to you.

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures

Because i'm a glutton for punishment, I have decided to take on another major project for the webpage.  But on this project, I need your help.  If anybody has any pictures from any of our past class reunions, would you PLEASE scan me or send me a copy.  If you don't  have a scanner, mail them to me.... I promise to mail them right back.   Email them to groucho1001@comcast.net

A Fond Farewell

After what seems to be a lifetime of marches, drills and concerts, Washington High School Band Directors Marc Svaline and Richard Heastings have both decided to retire.  2003 will be their final school year of hard work and dedication.

Boots Ostrander, president of the Band-Aids & Booster Club says they are having a SURPRISE send off for the two teachers.  Did I mention that it's a SURPRISE!!  It will be held at the Hilton Hotel at Southpointe in Canonsburg, PA on June 16, 2004 and will be ... (you guessed it!!!) a SURPRISE!

Additional information about the (SURPRISE) event will be announced as soon as it is available. There are a few former band members helping Boots plan this event but more are needed. If you would like to lend a hand, please contact Boots at 724-228-0108 and let her know you are willing to help out on this much deserving (SURPRISE) event.

Also, Boots asks if anybody has any old pictures of the band, can you scan them and send them to Patti.

30th Reunion

ScrapBook CD

The Reunion Committee has announced that a 30th Reunion CD has been made containing over 80 pictures from the get together.  See some of your classmates as they talk about the "old days" and the new.  If anyone would like to have a CD, just email me (Kent Montgomery) at groucho1001@comcast.net and I will see that you get one. All we ask is a $10.00 donation to the class reunion fund to cover the cost of shipping and the balance will go to future reunions.

Don't miss out on this chance to see some of your old classmates .... even though it's only their picture!!
